Mar Vista Elementary will be holding its annual New Parent Information Meeting on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 from 9:00am – 10:30am in the Main Auditorium. Parents of prospective students in Grades K-5 are encouraged to attend to meet our principal and teachers, as well as learn about our school and programs.
We also encourage prospective parents to attend a school tour. This event is for adults only with advance registration. This year’s tour dates are scheduled on:
It takes many volunteers to make this event possible. We need people to plan and present hands-on STEM related stations, coordinate volunteers, be in charge of publicity, plan a dinner for the off-campus volunteers, arrange for and set-up equipment, and many other important tasks. A background in a STEM related field is not necessary to be a help for this event.
Our next planning meeting is WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 28, 2015 at 7:00pm in the cafeteria.
Please sign up for STEM Night 2015 – here’s how it works in 3 easy steps:
Note: VolunteerSpot does not share your email address with anyone. If you prefer not to use your email address, please contact me and I can sign you up.
Lastly, the current STEM Night Chair has a culminating 5th grader – a shadow for this position is needed to see this event continue in the future.

This year we are challenged to raise nearly $300,000 to pay for programs not paid for with public funds. Art, music, science lab, computer technology and teacher aides – would not be possible without donations from family and friends.
We are asking each family to raise $900 towards this goal. Make a tax-deductible, direct donation to MVSEG today!
MVSEG is proud to be an Amazon Associate. Anyone (family, friends, neighbors) can buy anything on amazon.com (music, books, electronics, toys – the list goes on!) and MVSEG will receive a percentage of each sale up to 6% or more. How easy is that? Just click on our special link (amazon.mvseg.org), shop, and share it with everyone you know! Bookmark it and use it every time you shop with amazon.com. Tip: Buy yourself Amazon gift cards which return 6% to MVSEG. Then, shop amazon.com with those gift cards and earn another percentage of each sale when you follow the link again.
